Every Monday by 10 AM, all developers had to log their hours against projects for the previous week. Missing work logs meant incorrect invoices and hours of corrections.

On top of the Microsoft Fabric data platform, we set up deadline monitoring. Anyone who had not logged their hours got a Slack reminder; with no response, the manager received a summary. A compliance report ran from day one, showing who logs on time and where it keeps slipping.

Every quarter the company had to report the weight of packaging placed on the market, by material. Packaging specs sat in supplier Excel files, shipments in the ERP, and nobody was sure the two added up.

We loaded the supplier Excel files into a database, joined them with shipments and the bill of materials into one model, and added AI error checking (missing weights, swapped units, duplicate packaging). A Power BI report looks up any product or shipment.

The invoicing teams and their manager were pulling numbers into Excel every week to check open invoices, invoices per person, and blocked items.

We started by defining business metrics and how the team leads and manager actually use them. Then we automated the processing so data is pulled once and the report is always available.
