- Directors, team leads and managers who make decisions based on reports but don't build them.
- Before the course we recommend a short knowledge test. It's optional, and we use it to adjust the program so nobody sits through material they already know.

What the course covers
- How a report reaches you
- Workspaces, apps, links and sharing. What it means when an analyst shares a report with you, and how to share it further. How to use the Power BI mobile app.
- Working with a report
- Filters, slicers, drill down, drillthrough, bookmarks and your own view. How to tell when the data was last refreshed, and how to reset a report to its default state.
- Report or dashboard
- How a report differs from a dashboard and when to reach for which. A report has several pages, sits on top of one model, and lets you click through to the detail. A dashboard is a single page of tiles pinned from one or more reports, and serves as a quick overview. How to pin a tile and how to get from it back to the report.
- Alerts and subscriptions
- Alerts on a value in a report, sent to email or Teams, and a regular report subscription, even with its own filters for each recipient.
- Copilot
- Page summaries and questions about the data in your own words. When to trust the answer, and what a company needs for Copilot to work: a paid capacity and a model prepared for AI.
- Excel
- Analyze in Excel and export with a live connection. Why a plain export goes stale with the first data refresh, and what permission the connection needs.
- PowerPoint, Teams and mobile
- A live report in a presentation that you can filter while presenting, the report in Teams and in the mobile app.
- What to ask your analysts for
- What to ask your analysts for so everything from the course works for you: an app, permissions, subscriptions and a model prepared for Copilot, plus a dashboard of the tiles you use most.

The price is for the whole group, however many people attend. Demos and exercises run on your data if we agree on it before the training, otherwise on sample data. The price is the same either way.
After the course
What happens after the course
- The same test again. Anyone who took it before the course sees their progress in numbers.
- A call 30 days later. What made it into daily work and where people got stuck.
- A look at your model. On the call we can look at the model people work on after the course.
When the model misbehaves

We measure slow reports and long refreshes and fix the most expensive spots. We back up the before and after with numbers.
FAQ
What you ask us most
- Can you train us on our own data?
- Yes, if we agree on the data before the training. The price is the same with or without your data. From experience we go for your data, because people know it and work with it more easily.
- Can the course run online?
- Yes, in person or online. The program is the same, the exercises are just split into shorter blocks.
- How many people can attend?
- We recommend 12 at most, so there's time to go through the exercises with everyone. The price is per group and doesn't depend on headcount.
- Do we get a certificate?
- We don't issue certificates. Anyone who takes the knowledge test before and after the course sees their progress in numbers. For the PL-300 certification, take our course PL-300 Exam Prep.
